Ingredients.

You will Need:

250g bacon lardons (thick bacon cut into strips)

1 tablespoon butter

½ red onion sliced

1 clove of garlic, crushed (or 1 tsp of jar garlic)

1 cooking apple, peeled and diced (roughly 1cm)

300ml cider

½ chicken stock cube

1 sweetheart cabbage (pointy cabbage) shredded.

Bunch of kale, de-stalked and roughly chopped.

Bunch of rainbow chard de-stalked and roughly chopped.

Method.

Fry off the bacon in butter until it starts to crisp.

Turn down the heat, add the onion and garlic and soften.

Add the cider, apple and chicken stock cube and bring to the boil.

Add the kale and chard and cook until tender.

Season with salt and pepper and serve.
